Cabo’s been a hot spot for 70 years, from its start as a golden-age sportfishing mecca in the 1950s through the 1980s party era of a million spring breakers. Since then, it has transformed into one of Mexico’s most exclusive destinations. Today’s Cabo is a golden peninsula of expansive resorts, American influenced restaurants, and all the diversions under the sun. With beautiful beaches, and singular sunsets, magic happens where the Pacific meets the  Sea of Cortez.

Ready to start your day? Slip on your shades and start posing at Playa El Médano, Cabo’s sexiest strip of sand. Across the bay, the surreal cliffs of Playa del Amor (Lovers’ Beach) make a stunning set for a day in the sun. Kayakers paddle through the giant rock arch of El Arco. Rainbow-colored coral and frilly fish brighten the ocean floor at Playa Chileno, and Playa Santa Maria where you can snorkel right from shore.  Inland adventurers can hike Baja’s desert canyons and waterfalls, or blow through them in a Humvee.

The Southern sun bakes Cabo during the day, but after hours, it’s the nightlife that sizzles. Start the evening at Land’s End with cocktails as the sun sets crimson over the Pacific. After-dark fun starts with the casual bars and restaurants on Marina Boulevard and transforms into a tequila-fueled dance-club scene after midnight.

In Cabo, you can easily find a happy hour with live music, places to dance, or a fiesta with mariachis. The party never ends until you say, basta!, Enough!

Sping Break Revisited...

If you’re longing for your spring break days, Cabo San Lucas is happy to help. You remember the spring break schedule, don’t you? Sleep as late as you want. Lounge by the beach pool. Order a late lunch in the sun. Sip margaritas in a pool cabana in the afternoon, then get ready for the main event. Evenings start with a late dinner in San Lucas, drinks at a marina-front bar till 11pm, and dancing in a club till your stilettos can’t bear another step (flip-flops are welcome, too). Then back to the resort for low-key partying until first light or straight to bed to rest up for the next day.
